The "Face-to-Face" symposium series of the student community of Southeast University was successfully held
From December 2025 to January 2026, more than ten student communities such as Taopingsan, Taopingsi, Juyuan, Shatangyuan, Lanyuan, Meiyi, Qiuneng, Lantai, Wenchangchengyuan, and Wuxi Luyuan, as well as the Xiaodong Campus in Suzhou, respectively carried out the "Community Face-to-Face" series of activities. The activities focused on the "one-stop" student community construction, gathering counselors, teachers, and student representatives, and conducting practical exchanges around issues such as infrastructure, life services, safety management, activity optimization, and academic support. A total of several hundred suggestions and problems were collected, providing important references for improving the effectiveness of community education.

The discussions in each community were lively. Students reported problems such as poor hygiene in the laundry rooms, unstable hot water supply, insufficient charging stations, low recognition rates of gates, tight study spaces, and management of fire escape routes, and proposed suggestions such as enriching cultural classes, psychological salons, sports activities, and social practice programs. Counselors responded on the spot and recorded the demands, and will subsequently coordinate with the logistics, security, and apartment management departments to strive to improve the living experience of teachers and students.
When we noticed the student community symposium for international students in Luyuan. In the December session, representatives of international students from multiple countries spoke enthusiastically, suggesting adding water dispensers in Luyuan's third and fifth buildings, opening more public restrooms, study rooms, and meeting rooms, extending the opening hours of study rooms; building a gym, adding dryers, to meet fitness and daily needs; providing breakfast at 5 a.m. during Ramadan and adding vending machines and microwave ovens. These thoughtful suggestions fully reflect the expectations of international students for convenient living and respect for culture. In addition, in January 2026, the student community symposium for international students in Luyuan held a "Fraud Prevention Special Seminar" in the form. Counselor Fan Zhouyi and Song Yuhao led everyone to analyze high-frequency types such as fraud through online orders, campus loans, fake student grants, and customer service fraud. The students actively shared and discussed, significantly enhancing their awareness of safety precautions.
The series of symposiums established an efficient communication bridge, highlighting the school's "student-oriented" educational philosophy. The International Cooperation Office will continue to assist in the construction of international student communities, converting the voices of teachers and students into caring actions, and jointly creating a safe, comfortable, and inclusive Dongda Family, allowing every student to gain a strong sense of belonging and growth power during their time at school.
