Southeast University Holds Warm Chinese New Year Feast for the Year of the Horse

As the Year of the Horse begins, Southeast University ushers in the new spring with a warm and ceremonial feast. Faculty and students staying on campus gather together, embracing the first touch of warmth in the new lunar year.

On the morning of February 15, university leaders and staff visited students living on campus to extend their festive greetings. Exquisitely prepared gift boxes with horse patterns and red scarves were presented to the students, each carrying the university's sincere care. Teachers and students joined hands to paste Spring Festival couplets, stick window grilles and hang Chinese knots, filling the campus with a strong festive atmosphere. They chatted casually, with the university inquiring about the students' holiday plans, study progress and daily life.

The grand new year feast was held at the Taobei Canteen on Jiulonghu Campus at noon. Before the meal, a wonderful intangible cultural heritage experience activity was held. Students and teachers happily tried 8 kinds of traditional crafts like rubbing printing, making unique Spring Festival gifts with their own hands. The vivid "Fu" characters and festive patterns were full of ancient blessings and warm reunion moments.

With the host's announcement, the feast officially started. University leaders walked among the seats and gave red envelopes to every student staying on campus, wishing them a prosperous new year and a bright future. The buffet table was filled with delicious dishes, each with a beautiful New Year implication: braised beef brisket with tomatoes for hard work and steady progress, spicy chicken for a smooth and thriving life, and fish ball soup with green vegetables for the lasting care of the university.

Fun games and a lucky draw were also arranged at the scene. Laughter and cheers filled the canteen, and every cheer was a warm wish for a Happy New Year.
